We see it as our job to encourage the engineers of the future in their pursuit of a better world. In the fall, we will therefore award the Thesis Prize for the 5th time, where two students can win €3.000 with the submission of their thesis. The prize is open to all university and hbo students. With the award Witteveen+Bos wants to encourage the new generation of consultants and engineers to design sustainably. This year's theme is: Participatory design.
Theme The Thesis Award will be awarded to the wo- and hbo-thesis that best contributes and/or has the most impact in the (further) development of the sustainable design principle ‘Participatory design’ of Witteveen+Bos and that explicitly connects to at least one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN). Each edition will focus on one of the seven sustainable design principles of Witteveen+Bos.

Submission for the Participatory design Thesis Prize closes on September 15, 2026. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 12th of November at our office in Utrecht.
